Do  you know how to listen? We have ears that hear, but have we acquired  the necessary aural skills which allow us to effectively listen? Often immediately  after we have listened to someone, we remember only about half of what  was said, no matter how carefully we thought we were listening. On  average we will remember only about 25% of what was said.

Behind  this widespread inability to listen lies, our opinion, our judgement,  our state of being at the time, life distractions and many other  factors.

Can you listen with a genuine desire to understand the speaker’s feelings and perspective without placing any judgment?

In this weeks forum we will discuss four layers of listening.
